Alternative Prostate Cancer Treatment

A prostate cancer diagnosis can be frightening and confusing for both the patient and his loved ones. At EuroMed, we believe in supporting you through every step of the treatment process, combining gentle guidance with promising, innovative alternative prostate cancer treatments that can address your cancer and enhance your health.

What Is Prostate Cancer?

“Prostate cancer” refers to any cancer that originates on the prostate gland. Only men have a prostate, which is a relatively small gland located between the bladder and the rectum. Prostate cancer is typically classified as an adenocarcinoma, which means it originates on the glandular cells. Very rarely, different types of tumors, such as sarcomas or carcinomas, can form on the prostate.

Usually, prostate cancer is slow-growing. In fact, a number of cases have been recorded in which men with prostate tumors die of other unrelated causes before the tumor even presents any symptoms.

Causes & Risk Factors

The causes and risk factors of prostate cancer are varied.

  • Age: Most prostate cancer patients are over the age of 50.
  • Geographic location: Prostate cancer seems to be more common in Western countries.
  • Ethnic background: Men of African or European descent may have an elevated risk of prostate cancer compared to their Asian and Hispanic counterparts.
  • Heredity: You may be at a higher risk of prostate cancer if an immediate family member has or had it. Certain gene changes or genetic conditions, such as Lynch Syndrome, have also been linked to the development of prostate cancer.

Common Symptoms

Because prostate cancer grows so slowly, it doesn’t often cause symptoms until later in its progression. These symptoms can include the following:

  • Weak urinary stream or blood in the urine
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Unexplained bone pain, especially in the lower body

Keep in mind that these symptoms rarely mean you have prostate cancer. However, if you notice any new symptom, especially if it lingers, see your doctor for a thorough evaluation.

Potential Treatment Options

Our selection of alternative prostate cancer treatments may be implemented in tandem with your existing treatments. Some are helpful for supporting your immune system and keeping your body feeling good and performing at its peak throughout treatment. Popular choices include:

Insulin potentiation therapy: Also called IPT or “low-dose chemotherapy,” insulin potentiation therapy is one of our most popular treatment modalities. IPT uses cancer’s natural attraction to sugar to effectively deliver lower doses of chemotherapy to cancer cells. IPT can offer many of the same benefits as traditional chemotherapy, with fewer of the undesirable side effects.

Glutathione: This important antioxidant is vital when it comes to protecting cells from free radical damage. It makes a wonderful complement to IPT, because it shields healthy cells from chemotherapy damage, further improving your sense of well-being during treatment.

Laser energetic detox: This technique uses the power of light energy to lighten the “toxic load” of cells, allowing them to function at their peak. We recommend laser energetic detox both as a preventive measure and a treatment for many chronic illnesses, including cancer.
