Alternative Breast Cancer Treatment

Receiving a breast cancer diagnosis can be a difficult experience for both you and your loved ones that can leave you with lots of questions and uncertainty. We want to offer thoughtful guidance through this process, as well as provide you with some of the most studied alternative treatments for breast cancer.

What Is Breast Cancer?

Breast cancer begins when cells in the breast grow more than they are supposed to. They can form a tumor, which may feel like a lump in your breast tissue. These cells can invade surrounding tissue and spread throughout the body. It is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, but men can also get breast cancer.

Causes & Risk Factors

Like other cancers, the risk factors for breast cancer are varied. Some are related to lifestyle, while others cannot be changed. They include:

Diet and exercise: If you are overweight and not physically active, your cancer risk increases. The link is complex, but there are definite connections between and unhealthy lifestyle and the risk of breast cancer.

Birth control: Some birth control methods use hormones, which could increase the risk of breast cancer. Women who have stopped using hormonal birth control have appeared to reduce the risk. You should talk to your doctor about certain other risk factors before starting birth control.

Genetics: Certain inherited genes can give men and women a higher risk of breast cancer. When the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene is mutated, it can lead to abnormal cell growth, which can then lead to cancer.

Common Symptoms

Giving yourself a breast exam regularly is important for breast health. However, if you are over a certain age, it’s a good idea to talk to your provider about how often you should be having mammograms, too. This can help to detect cancer in its earliest stages.

Common symptoms include the following:

  • Development of a breast lump or mass
  • Swelling of the breast
  • Irritation of the breast or nipple skin
  • Nipple pain or retraction

Potential Treatment Options

Our alternative breast cancer treatments can be used in addition to traditional therapies or used on their own to help you in your fight against breast cancer. At EuroMed, your provider creates a personalized treatment plan incorporating your specific condition, your lifestyle, and our expert opinion. Your potential treatment options include:

  • Insulin potentiation therapy: Cancer cells love sugar. Insulin potentiation therapy, also called IPT or low-dose chemo, takes advantage of that quality by delivering chemotherapy drugs in conjunction with sugar. This causes cells to gulp down the drug-laced sugar for effective treatment with a fraction of the traditional dose. This results in fewer side effects.
  • Homeopathic immune modulator: At EuroMed, The George Protocol has been successfully used as the basis for cancer treatment. The modulator can help detox and support the immune system, which is necessary for cancer treatment. This holistic approach gives the body the ability to heal itself.
  • Psychosomatic energetics therapy: This treatment is based on the idea that genuine health is the interdependent interaction between the body, the mind, and our life energy. Because the immune and hormonal systems are influenced by the brain and nervous systems, we know that the health of the body and psyche are connected.
